These Bulgarian specimens were hand-picked from specimens available at the mine sites from 1998 to 2001. They were purchased from mine superintendents who had collected the material for later sale, probably from 1960 to 1990. Only the best quality specimens with little or no damage were selected. Top end specimens like these have always been scarce. These galenas are viewed as some of the best in the world with brilliant faces and much variation in crystallography.
